With winter neally behind us Adelaide's live electro/dance bad boys, The Killgirls release their new single ' i love you' from their up-coming 2nd EP set for release late 2010.

The single and EP will see the band refine their music into a more potent, sometimes volitile, electro-explosion designed to move your feet.

"Our music isn't about stringing a bunch of pre-made loops together and then playing guitar over them. All our beats are ectronics and created by us from scratch using hardware. It's a hands-on process." KG's

The Touch Win Nova FM's Im with the Band Competition

Adelaide band The Touch are officially Australia’s hottest emerging music act, beating tough competition to be crowned the official winner of Nova’s I Am With The Band competition today.

Beating a staggering 1,065 bands that entered the competition through Nova FM, The Touch were told this afternoon by Nova’s Ryan, Monty & Wippa that they had won $10,000 as well as national airplay on Nova stations to help them along their journey to stardom. Read more>

Laura Hill signs publishing with JL Music

JL Music Publishing are delighted to announce the addition of Laura Hill to the company’s artist roster.

Influenced by her surfing lifestyle, travel, nature, people and life experiences, Laura’s sound is unique, honest, light-hearted and memorable. Her debut album ‘Over My shoulder’, produced by Ian Pritchett (The Beautiful Girls, Angus and Julia Stone), was released through MGM and Itunes in February 2010 and features 13 beautiful and heartfelt tracks.

‘Odd Socks’, the debut single from the album is receiving airplay on the ABC, Triple J, Nova, PBS, and 3D radio. Laura will tour the east coast of Australia including major regional centers from April 2010 in support of the album release. Read more>

Tracer signs with Sound Contact Management

Adelaide rockers Tracer have announced a formal partnership with Sound Contact Management effective immediately.

With their feet barely back on home soil form a successful European tour, the band will be managed by Drew Landt at Sound Contact who will be bringing his never ending wisdom and expertise to help progress the bands career. For three and a half months from late 2009 Tracer toured across Europe to promote their album LA? and performed more than 25 gigs to packed out audiences.

JLMP partners with Shock Music Publishing

South Australian based JL Music Publishing signed a sub publishing and licensing deal with Shock Music Publishing. The deal will allow Shock Music Publishing to administer, publish and license the JL Music catalogue within Australia, and gives JL Music the ability to license the Shock Music Publishing Catalogue within South Australia. To facilitate the deal a new company has been created, JL Music Group Pty Ltd, with two business arms being Jl Music Publishing (representing the JL Music Catalogue) and JL Music Licensing (licensing the Shock Music Publishing Catalogue within SA).Read more>
